Eaton’s Vehicles division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Aguascalientes facility.

Here’s what you will do:
The primary function of this position is focused on leading cross functional teams to improve manufacturing and assembly processes for new and existing products throughout VGNA manufacturing sites.
  • Leads the creation of  manufacturing processes, routings, and drawings
  • Leads cross functional Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) teams
  • Coordinates development of gaging and control plans for manufactured products
  • Investigate, analyze, and recommend new and/or alternate equipment and manufacturing methods
  • Procure equipment and tooling per project plan and standards
  • Manage suppliers to ensure on time execution of projects
  • Manage capital and expense spending for assigned projects
  • Evaluate and verify processes and tool designs developed by peers
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing manufacturing operations
  • Prepare financial justification for projects in support of CAR analysis
  • Coordinates execution of project deliverables

Qualifications

Here’s what you need:
 
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • CNC Programming
  • CAD - 3D Modeling
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% or more potentially including assignments of up to 3 months.
     
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Desired Professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering for the following processes:
    • Automated Material Handling
    • Hard Finishing operations (grinding, hard turning)
    • Machining (CNC Turning)
    • Heat and surface treatments
    • Testing and inspection
    • Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly operations
