Coaching & Performance Management
Generate sales
  • Recruitment
  • Monthly coaching sessions with direct reports
  • Visiting customers with reps
  • Strong development plans for self & direct reports
  • Minimum 2 x APEX discussions per report per year
  • Strong discipline for pipeline management, forecasting & reporting
  • Sound decision making with underperformers
  • Alignment of resources to projects & opportunities
  • Conduct regular end customer sales visits
  • Strong collaboration with senior stakeholder channel partners
  • Strong pipeline management
  • Active participation in BD activities including tenders & bids in the state
Market the portfolio of Eaton products into territory
  • Conduct analysis of products and markets and develop a business plan to exploit the opportunities presented by new products
Recommend & execute promotion initiatives
  • Coordinate attendance at trade shows
Recommend on & execute broad distribution channels arrangements
  • Dealing direct with major customers & specialist distributors
  • Ensures product knowledge of channel partners is strong
  • Leads quarterly business reviews with senior stakeholders at channel partners
  • Leads resolution of areas of conflict with channel partners
Leverage One Eaton opportunities
  • Identify and leverage sales opportunities for packing of multi divisional offerings
Monitor & improve poor margin situations
  • Manages rep bid pricing & contract terms to ensure strong value creation within the state
  • Monthly review and action from state margin report
To liaise with internal and overseas operations to improve customer satisfaction
Providing marketing input via monthly report for self and team
Strong visible leadership
  • Strong advocacy for Eaton values
  • Strong contributor to Eaton PD Sales team
  • Positive role model for all Eaton employees
  • Present at conferences


  • Need high caliber candidate to fill role. Strong leadership, performance management and external stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Role requires a mix of strong technical (electrical engineering), channel management, sales & commercial skills.  Role requires ability to build strong relationships with wide range of roles (from field staff to chief executive)  within the target customer and channel partner organizations and to then leverage these relationships to further Eaton’s agenda.
  • A good reputation within the New South Wales  electrical industry would be valued.
  • Strong application and product knowledge of Eaton’s Power Distribution offerings such as MV and LV switchgear, fuses, drives & automation products and ability to learn applications would be highly valued.
Role needs to be based in Sydney, Australia.
