Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulic division is currently seeking a CNC Operator to join our team.

  • You will operate horizontal saw, cutting, chamfer, and threading machines.  
  • You will set up and operate CNC machines to perform a wide range of boring, mill and drilling operations on a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as steel, cast iron, brass, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.  
  • You will work from simple drawings, routings, charts and instructions to select proper speed, feed, die head, and holders to conform to specified thread requirements. 
  • You will be responsible keep up with the maintenance of you area by removing and replacing defective tools and by maintaining proper oil and grease levels on the machine.
  • You will be responsible to detect defective materials and to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year of CNC lathe or CNC mill experience. Completion of a CNC certificate program may be substituted for experience.
  • Must live within a 50 mile radius of work location; no relocation benefit provided for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 of experience in the set-up of CNC lathes or CNC mills is preferred.
 
 Position Criteria:
  • Ability to read and use blueprints.
  • Abilities in the use of micrometers, calipers, and various other measuring instruments.
