Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a Plant manager to join our team. This position is based at our Middlesex, NC facility.
The Plant Manager is responsible for managing plant operations, in conjunction with other divisional functions, to achieve customer satisfaction and business objectives.  You will effectively organize, lead and manage all functional elements for the plant.

  • You will create, plan and implement programs to achieve strategic and profit plans that meet divisional and corporate objectives
  • You will set overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Eaton Business System, Leadership Attributes and Ethical Standards
  • You will coordinate and direct through staff-level managers all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management, Operational Excellence, Human Resources and Finance
  • You will establish managerial leadership, credibility and trust through clear communication and actions with all levels of the organization
  • You will foster an environment which promotes Eaton’s goals, encourages continuous improvement, and builds customer relationships
  • You will interacts with customers to ensure understanding of their expectations and achievement of their satisfaction of plant products and services
  • You will build organizational capability to support a high performance culture by both directly and indirectly supporting talent management activities such as empowered decision-making, performance development, mentoring, coaching and training

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading people
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Position Criteria:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the methods and practices supporting manufacturing, materials/purchasing and quality assurance
  • Thorough understanding of financial practices and financial statements, including capital equipment analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, project cost analysis, maintenance analysis and organizational techniques
  • Ability to drive change and successfully lead and implement change initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage direct reports and build organizational capability
  • Strong communication skills with all levels in the organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a business or technical field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading people
  • Continuous Improvement or Lean certification
