Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking an OPERATIONS MANAGER to join our team. This position is based at our Reynosa facility.
The OPERATIONS MANAGER is responsible to Manage, directs and provide leadership to the operations production activities, manufacturing engineering functions and plant and buildings maintenance. Plans, guides and executes, to meet or exceed High Five Objectives to provide total customer satisfaction. Also responsible for achieving goals in quality, cost, delivery performance and safety, being conducted at all times according to Eaton’s Ethics and Values

Some activities related with the position will be:
A. Coordinates, develops and implements plant policies related to production and customer needs. Review, prioritize and classify scheduling workload in support of plant and division business objectives.
B. Directs the Manufacturing area to meet plant objectives. Provide input to support functions, as they relate to process improvement and programs implementation.
Pursues customer satisfaction and operational excellence by delivering high five goals, zero defects and drives continuous improvement activities in his area of responsibility through the deplpyment and utilization of Eaton Business System policies and processes, such as ELSS, CIF, PRO-Launch, EQS and others as applicable.
C. Communicates and provides leadership to ensure achievement of plant objectives: 1. Tactical operational plans e.g. Profit Plan Goals, 2. Strategic Plans in alignment with divisional and group operational strategies; to all members of the organization as applicable.
D. Maintains and improves employee relationships with all personnel to ensure a progressive workforce, striving for continuous improvement.
E. Must work consistently to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injury and illness and to observe Federal, State, local, overall regional and company safety and health regulations. Must reflect an interest in company safety and health objectives and required to set a good example by always observing the rules as a part of the normal work routine. Expected to follow safe working practices, obey rules and regulations, and work in a way that maintains the high safety and health standards developed and sanctioned by the company.
F. Relentlessly Builds Organizational Capability, while providing overall direction and accountability in accordance with the Eaton Leadership Model. Provide leadership in supporting the plant’s policies, objectives and goals.
G. Relates to all departments to ensure quality products. Provides direction and overall leadership and support for cost out initiatives at the plant and divisional levels. Direct the development of accurate work standards to correctly cost the product lines.
Attends training courses assigned by Human Resources Department.
Performs activities according to the Quality and Environmental policies established by the business
Applies the Safety and Environment principles and methodology to prevent accidents.
Promotes and applies the continual improvement.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• + 5 experience years on manufacturing operations activities
• Excellent communication and human relations skills and the ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
• Administrative skills to include planning, coordinating, team building, communication, organization and time management.
• Requires knowledge in Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Engineering, Plant and Facility Engineering, production planning and inventory control, employee relations, manufacturing processes and quality methods. It also requires technical knowledge of the product and its applications.
• One must also be a good communicator and motivator. Must set a good, positive example
Direct contact with suppliers, ability to solve problems and taking decisions
ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM RESPONSABILITY
-Separate dangerous residues from the normal trash
- Place dangerous residues (Gloves, cloths, etc.) in the assigned containers
- Maintain area clean and free of contaminants.
- Do not waste water.
- Report any activity that can put safety and environment at risk
- Identify and provide correct disposition to all hazardous products, which can contaminate the environment.
- Act immediately in the event of hazardous spills.
- Ensure correct containers for disposition of dangerous residues (identifying containers and containers to prevent discharge)
- Ensure the correct storage of hazardous materials.
