Lean Manufacturing Coordinator
A. Champions the layout at plant level and project level to ensure alignment with space utilization and flow strategy across the plant by conducting layout kaizen events, leading layout revision meetings and getting approval from decision committee.
B. Implements the lean tools in the site such as (Value Stream Map, 5S’s, Kaizen, Set Up reduction, Cost Outs, Error Proofing, Material Flow, standard work, TPM, etc.)
C. Implement CIF Culture across the Plant.
D. Drives the Cost Out initiative in the site
E. Champions the capacity analysis for all commodities, identifies gaps and opportunities to meet SIOP requirements and coordinates how to fulfill the gap with the functions involved.
F. Conducts training and deployment campaigns to foster the knowledge on EBS, OpA, ELSS, CIF across the plant.
G. Champions the ideas programs from the Promotion, evaluation and facilitate the execution of the ideas program as well as the recognition to the submitters.
H. Periodically review the Plant Value Stream Map.
I. Performs and coordinates the Kaizen Events from the VSM output to maintain the lean tracker to choose quarterly the best Kaizen in the plant.
J. Maintains the Lean council at the plant from the meetings and gathers teams, get results from the people is part of the council.
K. Champions the 5S’s internal Audits program.
L. Keeps informed to the site thru an annual calendar about the following Audits/Assessments: 5S, OpA, EBS, etc.;
M. Coordinate the selection of critical equipment and processes plant wide with the Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Departments accordingly.
N. Participate in the improvements of the key value creation process (KVCP’s) as part of the EBS.
M. Support the MESH Initiatives and Zero accident culture.
O. Support the Eaton Quality Systems as well as EBE, ISO/TS, etc
P. Participate in Strategic Planning Process as part of the Continuous Improvement Model.
Q. Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.
QualificationsUndergraduate degree required in Industrial Engineering (Preferred)
• Expert in MS Office /Excel, AutoCAD
• 5 years’ experience in the related matters
• Eaton Lean Practitioner (certificated)
• Solid and proven experience in lean manufacturing tools and six sigma methodologies.
• Strong Knowledge of OpA, CIF and ELSS
• Strong experience using ADKAR or Management of Organizational Change
• Highly advanced analytical and cognitive skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
