Eaton’s Vehicle division is seeking a Lead System Engineer to join our team. The position will be based at our Marshall, MI facility.
 
The Lead System Engineer is responsible for being a part of a team developing driveline solutions for automotive applications.  The selected candidate must be familiar with System Engineering practices such as requirements development and verification, system architecture selection, failure mode testing, requirements allocation and traceability.  It is also desirable that the selected candidate have an interest in automotive driveline performance with embedded systems.

  • You will collaborate in a team environment to define and document product specifications and verification procedures.
  • You will work together within a global team environment to obtain overall project goals.

  • You will understand product technology to confirm performance and functionality by analyzing in lab and vehicle data.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree Control Systems, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with new product development, powertrain components,chassis control components, and/or project management.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of new product development and powertrain components.
  • MatLAB, Simulink, CANape, and CANalyzer experience.
  • Experience with powertrain, chassis, and/or embedded control standards and components.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of DFSS tools with green belt certification preference.

  • Well organized with excellent project management skills.
  • Experience responding to problems within mechanical and electrical systems finding innovative solutions.
