This role is responsible for:-
•Ensuring the provision of accurate and current support data to purchasers, operators, repair cells and the Eaton FMC/FED Divisions throughout the in-service phase.
•Ensure that the process for the revision and distribution of support documentation, initiated within the Supportability Department, is fully auditable by internal and external sources.
•Ensure new business requirements are met within the set timelines. Completion and submission of compliance matrices, risk assessments and reports are all within the specified time constraints.
The specific functions of this position include the following:
•Ensure the effective corporate governance of Supportability through compliance within the Eaton primary strategies / policies and relevant regulatory authorities.
•To apply and maintain consistency and accuracy in the application of the following deliverables that will ensure the effective and efficient administration of :
Assist in the production and development of ILS plans
Assist the ILS Team Leader with all BID/PROPSAL/NBR related activities
Assist in the creation of resource plans/estimates
Production and implementation of internal processes and procedures
Assist in the preparation of customer ILS deliverables (SDRL submissions) for all programs
Assist in risk reviews associated with all ILS Programs
Preparing logistic support data to customer contract and format
Assist in the production of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) data
Assist in the production of Level Of Repair Analysis (LORA)
Assist in the production of Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)
Assist in the provision of Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
Assist in reviewing Engineering Reliability Prediction/FMECA reports
Maintainability Prediction / Analysis
Direct Maintenance Cost Analysis (DMCA)
•Meet Aftermarket goals, activities and strategies in accordance with the strategies identified by the Supportability Manager.
•Meets performance plans and targets and take corrective action as required to meet these goals.
•Ability to manage customer relationships while continuously improving Eaton’s reputation.
•Drives focus on Supportability to the Customer and throughout Eaton Limited.
•Knowledge of Eaton products and systems, their design, performance characteristics and how they are used in the Supportability environment for customer applications/systems.
•Experience working with aerospace products in building and managing support solutions for major aerospace companies.
•Knowledge and experience in the ‘Through Life Support’ of products and services and ILS methodologies. (Would be advantageous but not essential and full training will be provided.)
•Knowledge of the Entry Into Service Management process for civil and military platforms.
•Experience of working on tasks and projects through their various phases.
•Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities concurrently whilst still meeting expected deadlines.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Ability to interact positively and effectively with personalities at the business unit, senior Eaton management and customers at all levels.
•Excellent computer skills; including Microsoft Office package.
• Knowledge of ILS Programs with particular emphasis on LSAR, LORA, LCC, R, M & T and Maintenance Analyses. (Would be advantageous but not essential and full training will be provided.)
•Knowledge of Technical Publications would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
•This is a unique opportunity to join the Aftermarket Supportability team as an ILS Engineer. There will be a sustained period of learning over a defined period that will be used to provide knowledge and experience in all the disciplines related to ILS.
•We work closely as a team and have a continuous learning work ethic. By joining the team you will gain an in-depth knowledge of all platforms that Eaton supports and provides products to; not only from the Titchfield facility but across all FMC and FED business units. The opportunity to meet the teams from various sites will; from time to time be required and involve overseas travel. You will; as you gain experience, take ownership of ILS projects to manage from conception to completion, which should bring a great sense of pride and ownership.
