Job Description

The Director, Sales and Marketing will be responsible for the global sales and marketing function for the Fluid & Electrical Distribution division which is $950M in revenue size within Eaton's Aerospace group.  This role will lead sales and marketing activities to grow revenues profitably in all Fluid & Electrical Distribution market segments and adjacent markets on a global scale. Fluid & Electrical Distribution includes 24 different product lines across conveyance, ducting, sealing, sensing, interconnect and power conversion.


Essential Responsibilities:

A. Develops sales plan, executes sales forecast, creates sales incentives for team, and manages all operating budgets to meet or exceed sales objectives and market plan.
B. Manage strategic relationships with major customers.
C. Leads global sales pursuits to win strategic platform content and key individual product applications for current and new products.
E. Lead or jointly lead closure of large, complex commercial negotiations with our customers.
Builds organizational capability to improve succession planning, insure competency in job and advancement to maximum potential and upgrade talent.
F. Represent Eaton products on various industry associations and events.
G. Consults with division management on product pricing, product features, and new product introduction strategies while serving as customer advocate in the development of new products.
H. Motivates and coaches employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
I. Manages and continuously improves information tools, processes and systems to ensure that team has access to accurate and timely customer and product information.
J. Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
M. Develops and manages key metrics as a tool to guide sales team performance & effectiveness.


Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the aerospace industry
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading and managing salaried professionals
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with the customer in a commercial role in an aerospace setting
  • Must be able to work in the United States in an on-going basis without requiring company sponsorship
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), have been granted Political Asylum, or Refugee.
Preferred qualifications: 
  • MBA from an accredited institution

  • Able to work in a matrixed, global environment
  • 10 years of experience or more in a senior leadership role within the Aerospace industry

  • Demonstrated success in creating and driving a culture of continuous improvement
