Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Amarillo, Texas facility.
 
The Manufacturing Engineer will propose, coordinate and implement projects related safety, quality, cost reduction and continuous improvement . Conducts activities to achieve daily and long term processing goals. Participates with the business unit teams to help the team accomplish department action plans. Develops manufacturing engineering improvements and works with employees at all levels to support necessary upgrades to equipment and processes.

  • You will create capital appropriation requests. Justify capital equipment purchases. Research and select vendors for capital projects. Create drawings for components and/or machine design using Autocad Inventor.
  • You will develop and coordinate projects utilizing basic project management and structured project management skills. Evaluate machine capabilities and recommend additions, replacements and rebuilds.
  • You will conduct/Assist new machine and machine rebuild runoffs. Establish specifications for requests for quotations. Design and recommend improved manufacturing processes.
  • You will work with business unit teams to develop goals and objectives. Implement cost savings and improvement projects. Evaluate and recommend process improvements to improve quality.
  • You will research and develop solutions to OSHA, ANSI and internal safety requirements for processes and equipment.
  • You will troubleshoot process problems as related to productivity and quality. Coordinate/Support  testing to optimize performance of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operating) supply items.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma.

 

Position Success Criteria:

  • Detailed abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling and managerial planning.
  • Technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC.
  • Experience with Autocad Inventor or similar CAD system.
  • Ability to communicate with varies levels of an organization.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external contacts.
