Job Description

We are looking for an Regional Sales Manager Central & South America – Filtration Division in São Paulo, SP.
He/She will be responsible for:
 
  • This position serves as a key member of the Filtration global sales management team and is responsible for the sales and profits of the industrial, hydraulic, and life science filtration products in Central and South America. The primary responsibility is to grow and develop business as a contributor while also to develop, manage, mentor the sales representatives.  
  • The position develops the region plan to achieve sales and margin goals, direct and manage the regional sales team to work with existing and potential customers and distributors to clearly define their technical, quality, delivery and financial expectations, and effectively communicate these through the organization in order to achieve customer satisfaction. Expected results include growth in sales and market share, channel development as well as developing talent within region.  
  • Develop, implement and execute a goal-based strategy across the identified customer base consistent with operational goals and objectives. This is to align with the global strategy. 
  • Develop and manage a network of Eaton Regional Sales Managers, Manufacturer’s Reps, and distributors with a goal of maximizing sales coverage with minimal sales conflict.  
  • Maintain up-to-date sales funnel of customer projects and programs to ensure sales in the pipeline. 
  • Manages direct personnel development including performance reviews, training plans and development needs.  Accurately access and utilize the capabilities of others, positively motivating others to succeed.  In addition, manage talent in and out of the organization as necessary. 
  • Provide market data and intelligence to support marketing efforts. 
  • Drive processes and actions to provide business intelligence from the marketplace to business leaders that will forecast demand, guide activities to flex the business, and influence business development activities. 
  • Responsible for all sales expense budget preparation, as well as monitoring profit plan performance and performing variance analysis. 
  • Ensures communication to the leadership teams in  EMEA, NAFTA and APAC relative to inquiries, quotes, order administration, expediting and shipping. 
  • As the voice of the customer provides ongoing feedback, drives continuous improvement in key metrics in all departments including forecasting, on time deliveries and order planning and fulfillment and acts as the primary focal point for customer problem resolution. 
  • Provides input from sales on pricing, input to finance on costing, input to manufacturing on purchasing, planning and lead times as well as input to senior management on overall customer satisfaction and general business activities. 
  • Provide assistance to the Purchasing/Planning function to ensure customer requirements are met and inventory levels are maintained in accordance with company requirements.   
  • Responsible to collaborate with Importation and Finance functions to ensure compliance.
  • Work with pricing manager to ensure pricing strategy is implemented and currency is managed 
  • Work with the Hydraulics Sales Team to ensure sales synergies. 
  • Monitor sales performance versus plans and take corrective action proactively and timely.

Qualifications

Experience Required:
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Experience in sales management in multi-national companies
  • Portuguese, Spanish, and English Fluent proficiency
  • Experience in filtration business / markets, with extensive sales and marketing focus
  • Strong experience in growth in sales and market share, channel development and developing employee talent
  • Knowledge of managing products, product applications, and distribution channels.
