Eaton Corporations Controls and Power Conversion Division, (CPCD) has an opening for a Lead Financial Analyst located in Watertown WI.  
 
Position Overview :
This position serves as primary contact and financial champion to the Drives product lines. This product line is expected to have double digit growth over the next three to five years. The Lead Analyst directly supports the Controller and Leadership Team with reporting, in-depth analysis, and contributing to financial process improvements.

Essential Functions:
 
  • Manage the month-end closing processes for multiple product lines by preparing journal entries, variance analysis and commentaries for key income statement and balance sheet accounts
  • Lead the forecast preparation for sales through operating profit & all balance sheet accounts including analysis of main variances to profit plan, prior year & quarters
  • Support manufacturing operations financial analysis and reporting by reviewing all aspects of plant operations, including, but not limited to manpower analysis, sales trend analysis, validating cost savings, absorption trends, etc.
  • Analyze trends and provide early warnings guidance on potential risks & opportunities to the Plant Division operating performance; make recommendations to management to solve or avoid risks and realize opportunities
  • Help develop manufacturing operations guidelines and targets to support timely and credible annual profit plan and monthly rolling forecast submissions
  • Financial resource for Division projects that analyze the financial viability of new product introductions
  • Ensure plant compliance with operations related internal controls requirements and assist in the creation of new policies & procedures to improve the overall internal controls environment
  • Representing the Finance function, serve as a key member on multi-functional process improvement teams including operations, supply chain and quality
  • Monitor and lead capital spending forecast activity to ensure spending targets are achieved and assets are safeguarded in accordance with Corporate Finance Policies
  • Perform all balance sheet reconciliation in accordance with GAAP, SOX & Eaton Policies
  • Meeting monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting deadlines is a crucial aspect of this position
  • Leads Physical Inventory
  • Provide responses to Corporate, Group, and Sector around requests for data

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of financial analysis or accounting
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation is offered for this role. Candidate must reside within 50 miles of the Watertown, WI facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Oracle, MFG Pro, Advanced MS Office skills, and Encore is a plus.
  • Experience working for a manufacturing company
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Experience with multi-currency, multi-sites
 
Position Criteria:
  • Superior analytical, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be action oriented, organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate and interface effectively across all level of management within the plant and within the Corporation.
  • Working knowledge of electronic data processing systems as well as proficiency in Excel are required
