Job Description

We are looking for a Materials Manager in Valinhos, São Paulo.
He/She will be responsible for: 
  • Responsible for plant requirements related to world-class materials processes, systems, and execution.  Including, but not limited to, logistics, internal plant materials flow, ERP materials systems, pull-systems, shipping, receiving, materials planning, and consignment management.  Excludes activities related to Supply Chain Management, Purchasing.
  • Manage logistics & materials requirements planning function.
  • Lead production scheduling based on customer demand.
  • Lead EBS in area of materials activities & support campus activities.
  • Manage strategic planning process related to materials activities.
  • Manage releases to suppliers to ensure superior supplier delivery performance while minimizing freight costs & inventory investment.
  • Champion demand planning & production scheduling processes integrated with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning processes.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with our customers in order to establish a partnership, avoiding logistics issues in order to guarantee Customer satisfaction (OTD).
  • Defines enterprise-wide solutions based upon conducting internal and/or external benchmarking, forecasting, data and trend analysis, operational needs assessment, customer feedback, and product value analysis.
  • Collaborates with business units and established councils to deploy and implement initiatives, projects, and enhanced services.
  • Acts on the analysis of higher-level data, including enterprise requirement planning information, to develop multiple outcomes and reports needed to make recommendations and execute the plan to optimize Materials enterprise-wide operations.
  • Drives change processes with minimized impact on internal and external customer requirements.
  • Coaches others in the mechanics of effective partnerships with customers and preferred suppliers to identify target costing, product design parameters, and supplier expectations for adding value and cost out improvements.
  • Defines appropriate technology and project management concepts to effectively manage complex projects.
  • Drives continuous improvement in process and personnel development through skills enhancement coaching and training.


Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other coherent to materials function
  • Solid experience in the Materials function in complex manufacturing environment (Automotive highly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience & understanding of materials processes, Logistics, Warehouse management, Inventory Control
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools, pull systems (KanBan & Min-Max)
  • Solid working knowledge of MRP systems
  • MMA, OpA and EBE assessments
  • Solid relationship with internal and external clients
  • Solid People Management and Development
  • Bi-lingual (Portuguese /English)
