As a Manager Tax Transfer Pricing, you will help to design and support global tax transfer pricing: (i) intercompany price setting and arm’s length testing ; (ii) functional analyses; (iii) detailed data analysis; (iv) documentation and benchmarking; and (v) advising arm’s length pricing and transfer pricing adjusments.
This position requires an experienced and proven level of: financial acumen, financial system knowledge/skills, proven data management/analysis abilities, operational understanding, ability to support the completion of large deliverables, along with issue/opportunity recognition skills.  All which will directly materially impact the long term corporate controllership, strategic direction, growth, and earnings per share of the company
Your main duties :
  • Identify and analyze intercompany transactions
  • Development of functional and financial analyses
  • Model potential intercompany transactions to support determination of tax effective structuring that aligns with business objectives
  • Perform benchmarking for purposes of evaluating the arm’s length nature of transfer prices for certain intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation as required under tax laws of the various jurisdictions in which Eaton operates throughout the world
  • Monitor profit levels of major intercompany transactions during the year to determine whether adjustments are required.  Recommend pricing modifications to Transfer Pricing Managers
  • Review analysis performed by tax analysts
  • Assist with the valuation of businesses and certain business assets


What we are looking for:
  • 4 year degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 4 or more years of finance experience and/or transfer pricing/tax experience with at least 3 years’ experience in Transfer Pricing
  • A strong and proven finance and financial systems background is a must.
  • Strong understanding of transfer pricing and tax principles.
  • Masters of Tax / CPA strongly preferred.
  • Aptitude for operations and operations processes.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting rules and pronouncements.
  • Computer skills – Must be fluent in the use of standard software, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including experience in financial modeling.  Also, must be able to learn Eaton’s databases, financial reporting and forecasting systems.
  • Communications – Must be able to clearly communicate, orally and in writing, tax explanations, answers, recommendations or alternatives regarding complex financial transactions and legal issues to both tax and non-tax personnel.
  • Interpersonal skills – Must interact effectively with people, both inside and outside the Company, who have diverse backgrounds, languages and different objectives.
  • Business Judgment – Must understand how tax decisions or plans impact other areas such as Treasury and Operations and develop, recommend and implement tax strategies consistent with non-tax objectives.
  • Further, skills in the following areas would be helpful:
  • Tax law – Statutes, regulations, court decisions and tax treaties must be interpreted and fully understood.
  • Accounting – Because the tax laws are applied to financial transactions, this professional must know how transactions are recorded and reported on the books, and how and where tax accounting rules differ from book accounting rules.  Also, it is necessary to analyze complex financial transactions to determine what tax laws apply.
  • The ideal candidate would possess transfer pricing experience at a either a consulting firm or a large multi-national company.
