Job Description

Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Division is currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor for 1st Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Vicksburg, Mississippi facility.
 
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for shipping, arranging deliveries and billing off deliveries accurately and timely as defined by our ISO 9001 Quality Manual Procedures.

  • You will be responsible for the accurately receiving of Raw material, Confirmation and Storage of Finished good, and Shipping of goods to the Distribution center and to Direct Customers.
  • You will manage direct communication with all parties within the shipping scope. Ensures outbound and inbound shipments are executed in a timely manner.
  • You will analyze any material hold ups at any location, maintains performance metrics and develops root cause analysis with corrective actions to drive a continuous improvement culture with subordinates and team members. Coordinates logistics in collaboration with all parties and ensures 100% shipping compliance.
  • You will order and maintain inventory of office supplies for the shipping operation. Ensure on time shipping metrics, reduce quality related issues due to shipping errors by developing control processes around the shipping procedures.
  • You will validate that all standard work, processes and procedures are accurate and ensures all team members adhere to them.
  • You will adhere to regulatory and company requirements, procedures and policies. Interprets and provides guidance to others as required. Works collaboratively with operations and logistic resources as required.
  • You will assist in customer service request on expedites and cancelations and communicate as needed. Collaborates with Finance to ensure the timely and accurate information is provided to support invoicing process.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, materials or logistics or a combination of these functions.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles from the Vicksburg, MS facility to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Supply Chain.
  • Lighting and/or electrical industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, materials or logistics or a combination of those functions.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience supervising in a union environment.
  • Experience working with SAP.
