Job Description

A.    Manage the month-end closing processes for APAC region (7 operating ledgers), close liaison and communication with Operation/Commercial teams and share-service centers in India and China to close the ledgers. Investigate variances, complete commentary of financial performance

B.    Work with BU controller to Prepare monthly Forecast and forecast analysis vs prior FC, vs Plan, vs Prior Year, complete commentary  for APAC Region, recommend Action items for variance fixes. Support review process, insure Forecast accuracy (+/- 2% Target).

C.    Support preparation and analysis of routine operational Reports required by functional team for business performance monitoring (Weekly, Monthly) – Backlog, Sales Analysis by Products, Customers, Country, Salesmen;  Margin Analysis by products by customers by country; Expenses Reports e.g. Travel vs Sales by country by HC; Discretionary Expenses vs Forecast by country, HC.

D.    Review and consolidate monthly Capex Spend reporting, monitor spending is within approved level, monitor capex spend timeliness. Review and consolidate AR Ageing report and followup with respective ledger owners for collection actions and monitor DSO progress;

E.    Prepare Quarterly reporting – Reserve adequacy for Warranty, Accounts Receivable, E&O Inventory, Idle Assets. Other quarterly reports including LOR consolidation for the region

F.     Work with BU Controller to prepare Annual profit plan and strategic plan including coordination with regional leaders, regional sites Finance Team, regional share-service centers, global Team for timely completion and support final review with Regional & Global Management Team

G.    Others – Support BU Controller on

a.      Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation Review for APAC ledgers (7 ledgers)

b.      Tax Team Reporting request (Annual Transfer Price template)

c.       Treasury Hedging/FX Reports

d.      Corporate Accounting Team RSD (interco elimination data)

e.      Annual Reports Year End Accounting, System Access Review, DSA review (Process Narratives)

f.        Accounting guidance to share-resource team

g.      SOX, IA and corrective actions follow up

H.    Provide FPA Reporting Training as and when required

I.      Manage 1 Direct Accountant

Qualifications

Education:
  • BSc In Finance / Accounting
  • CPA/ACCA/CMA Qualified

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 Years of working experience with professional experience in FPA with APAC regional exposure
  • Experience in working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. Familiar with MFGPRO, ORACLE. LONGVIEW Kalix Reporting System, Data Warehouse (OBIEE, Cognos) retrieval will be advantageous
  • Essential working knowledge of Standard Costing in a manufacturing environment
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (Spoken)
  • Excellent skill in MS Office Application esp Excel
  • Good communication skill with cross border functional team across APAC/EMEA/NAFTA
