Job Description

Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Beaver, PA facility.
 
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of department-based activities including production scheduling, budgets, planning and personnel, while ensuring the manufacturing of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost meeting customer, quality and delivery requirements.

  • You will direct production employees with respect to volume, cost, quality and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
  • You will report any process and equipment problems and notify appropriate personnel for assistance with problem when required.
  • You will maintain adherence to Company policies, rules, regulations, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • You will schedule and organize work to achieve a smooth operation (at times, for 3-shift operation / other times, administers the off-shift schedules for departmental supervisors).
  • You will assure machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production.
  • You will maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions, take proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required.
  • You will arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained.
  • You will assure efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department.
  • You will keep employee records of attendance, performance, and departmental activities, as required.
  • You will be responsible for all processes, equipment, manpower, safety and housekeeping assigned to area.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or engineering environment (or a combination of these functions).
  • No relocation is being provided. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Beaver, PA to be considered for this role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution, preferred.
  • Experience leading and  implementing continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

Position Success Criteria:

  • The ability to read and understand the manufacturing drawings, blueprints and specification information and a working knowledge of the inventory system currently being used.
