Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is currently seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team.

 

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for the manual and automated operation of all bending brakes in producing parts for production. In addition, this position utilizes knowledge/skills to develop all tiers of Equipment Operators and peers. 

 

This position is on 1st shift which is M-F 7:00am – 3:30pm with options to work voluntary Over Time.

  • You will mark orders as started or completed on DMM (Dynamic Material Management)
  • You will set up and operate machine for specific parts
  • You will review dimensions and verify accuracy of material provided
  • You will collaborate with  designers and programmers on new or original products (AMO) as requested
  • You will inspect and verify finished part to the drawing specification
  • You will actively take a leadership role and mentor/train less experienced staff, as required

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using CNC and/or steel manufacturing equipment such as brake, punch and spot welder. 
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Must reside within 80km of Airdrie to be considered for this position.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cross train and continue learning.
  • Candidates with experience using small and/or large bend brakes, punch presses, spot welding, and steel manufacturing will be given preference.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blue prints.
