Eaton’s Vehicle division is seeking a Test Lab Assembly Supervisor to join our team. The position will be based at our Galesburg, MI facility.
The Test Lab Assembly Supervisor is responsible for driving common processes, tools and technical expertise across the organization, assist in defining laboratory strategy, and leveraging technical resources and assets within the Test COE lab.

  • You will provide guidance for technician team though staffing, build scheduling, defining expectations, providing appropriate training and development opportunities, coaching, and performance management.
  • You will design, document, configure, and implement complex test procedures as required on component level test stands and large dynamometers for commercial vehicle transmission testing.
  • You will program and maintain various test stand software and programs.
  • You will test data, provide insight, and report out on performance of tests and specimens.
  • You will perform failure evaluations, investigates and troubleshoots issues, coordinates with cross functional team to ensure project milestones are met.
  • You will develop and improve lab procedures and advise product engineering as to test and design product improvements.
  • You will work with product and test engineering team to design, assemble, and conduct tests to evaluate current and future products.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, engineering, or test environment experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year of experience managing people.
  • Experience in testing powertrain components and/or systems in a lab environment.
  • Experience in collecting and evaluating test data.
Position Success Criteria:
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Experience in software development (C, VB, LabVIEW, etc.).
  • Experience with Controller Area Networks (e.g. SAE-J1939).
  • Experience with test stands and large dynamometers.
