Eaton’s Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division within the Aerospace Group is seeking a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will be based at our Jackson, MS facility. 

 

The position reports directly to the plant Accounting Manager and is part of the plant Finance Team. This role is instrumental in the support and coordination of the payroll function for the plant. This includes Hourly and Salary payroll processing and analytics, as well as assisting with our engineering timekeeping system. This role helps manage, track, and provide proactive financial analysis on various manufacturing and financial metrics. This role also will also have month end financial close, and monthly balance sheet reconciliation responsibilities, and will participate in the monthly rolling forecast build-up, and annual profit planning processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • You will establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of payroll process through developing, maintaining, and improving financial control and reporting.
  • You will have month-end close responsibilities including analysis and performing various monthly journal entries.
  • You will be responsible for the monthly rolling forecast including salary and benefit analysis, and financial reporting of financial and operational metrics.
  • You will works cross-functionally on special projects assigned by the accounting manager.
  • You will be responsible for daily productivity reporting, and SIOP capacity planning process.
  • You will partners closely with the Human Resources department on key payroll related items, and helps facilitate employee new-hire orientations.
  • You will have various reporting and analysis involvement in the preparation of the annual Profit Planning process.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution is required.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within a 50 mile radius of the Jackson, MS facility will be considered
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the Aerospace industry preferred
  • Adept with Microsoft Office excel, word, power point and outlook.
