Eaton is seeking a Program Manager and for its  Hydraulics Division. The Program Manager position will be located in Eden Prairie, MN.
Eaton’s $2B Hydraulics business serves global and diverse markets and customers with four major product lines: Power & Motion Controls, Fluid Conveyance, Golf Grip, and Filtration. 75% of the hydraulics business is focused on mobile segments (joystick controls, gear pumps, manifolds) and 25% on stationary segments (coolers, cylinders, piston & vane pumps). Headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, we are constantly advancing hydraulics products in new and innovative ways.
Position Overview :
Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is seeking a Program Manager to be based at our Eden Prairie, MN office. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution of New Product Development Projects. You’ll lead the Integrated Program Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and life of the program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.

Essential Functions:
  • You will manages the Lifecycle Financials of the NPD projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.
  • You will execute IPT leadership across the Project(s). Seeks team input to promote rapid resolution to issues. Provides feedback on performance indicators.
  • You will establish objectives and goals and provides direction to the project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.
  • You will manage effective customer communications.  Improves organizational responsiveness to customer requirements.  Communicates and manages customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.
  • You will ensure standard program management processes are utilized and provides adequate support to the project team by coordinating PM reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and reports.
  • You will maintains metrics for project for quality, technical performance and delivery through all of the PROLaunch phases.
  • You will coordinate all risks and requirements of the project.  This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all project activities and deliverables and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.                                                           
  • You will partner with sales and marketing to: 1) manage customer contracts, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization; 2) establish and negotiate pricing strategies by system and/or product, market and by customer; 3) develop contract negotiation strategies.  Ensures effective change management process is utilized.
  • You will provide periodic project updates (Program Status Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule).  Provides updates to the business units as well as divisional levels.
  • You will play a key role in developing business proposals and executing the overall program plan.
  • You will provide overall Project interface with the customer

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years of Program Management; or Engineering and/or Product Development Management experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  •   Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related area.
  • Experience in Hydraulics New Product Development (NPD) programs
  • Hydraulics industry knowledge
  • Industrial  experience  in Hydraulics, Automotive, Aerospace, IOT industry
  • PMP certification
Position Criteria:
  • Willing to travel at least 10% of the time.
