Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is currently seeking a an Assembler – Team A – Medium Assembly – 2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Badger Drive facility in Waukesha, WI.


The Assembler is responsible for production of all types of Transformers in a continuous flow environment to meet the agreed upon customer requirements. This position will be responsible for the core coil assembly & kitting process, though low-voltage lead assembly.  Responsible for performing the various job functions as described in the job description at an acceptable level of efficiency and quality. Operators must be willing to perform various duties and assist all other team members as needed to meet Takt Time of Transformers through the continuous flow line.

  • Low voltage lead assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete the assembly of low voltage lead assembly as directed on the OPS.
    • You will be required to pass the Cooper Power System process qualification test.
    • You will need one year technical school diploma in mig and arc welding or equivalent experience.
  • Core coil assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete core coil assembly per the requirements as directed on the OPS.
  • Core and coil assembly kitting
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete kit assembly including items as directed on the OPS.
  • Production support assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of components used at this station.
    • You will do the building of sub-assemblies to be delivered to other areas of the continuous flow process.
  • Field return/ Repair assembly
    • You will repair units and components that have failed test, are defective, or require other needed changes.
    • You will participate in teardown, repair and modification of customer supplied equipment as directed by the engineering or quality departments.

  • A high school diploma or GED form an accredited institution is required. 
  • Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • Relocation benefits not included. Only candidates living within 50 miles of Waukesha WI will be considered.
  • Must be able to understand standard shop specifications (shop drawings, process sheets, and measuring equipment etc).
