Eaton’s Vehicle Group has an opening for a:
Senior Test Technician
location: Tczew, Poland 
Primary function:
Performs Testing Activities requested by Eaton Supercharger Product Engineering team, supports design of superchargers and engine air management systems, which meet or exceed customer requirements. Develops, maintains and improves testing facility to meet expected safety standards, testing capabilities and enables new product development and validation.
Specific duties include: working with test engineer to build, inspect test units or test rigs. Is able to design and specify functional requirements for testing equipment, builds rigs and fixtures or develops testing infrastructure (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic etc.). Builds data acquisition systems, provides data for  reports from tests, supports and trains other test engineering personnel. Communicates, implements and improves test procedures, standards and work procedures.
Performs product or prototype builds and tear downs, according to existing standards, provide reporting evidence for performed activities. Performs test vehicle maintenance and test set-ups. Supports interaction with Eaton manufacturing facilities; problem solving teams and other functions. Is involved in failure analysis and writing technical reports and specifications.
Develops personal skills and competency, develops others, develops organizational capability.
Essential function:
  • Prepares test rigs, test vehicles and test samples for tests. 
  • Performs product and test rig inspections.
  • Develops and implements new solutions for testing, testing capability and capacity. Develops testing infrastructure.
  • Works with test engineer to achieve goals of test team.
  • Supports other functions with technical knowledge.
  • Analyzes and resolves technical problems.


  • Technical degree / professional technical school in either Mechanics, Mechatronics or Electronics.
  • 1-3 years of experience in working with internal combustion engines and/or components (subsystems) - including engine boosting (supercharging and/or turbocharging), intercooling, vehicle repair or maintenance.
  • Knowledge of component and system testing and manufacturing procedures.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Communicative English communications skills are required. Communication in German is an advantage.
  • Experience with test hardware design, procurement and/or programing is desired.
  • Certification for working with high-voltage systems, electronic equipment and data acquisition systems will be a strong asset.
  • Experience in performing NVH testing will be a strong advantage.
  • Understanding of using Testing Equipment and tools, testing and programing software, will be beneficial.
