Eaton’s Aerospace division is currently seeking a Sr. Technical Sales Analyst. This position is based in out Jackson, MI facility.
Provides technical applications sales support to meet customer needs via coordination with Product Engineering, Product Line Managers, Product Sales Managers, and channel partners. Reviews and interprets customer requirements and responds to customer technical requests for applications support, which may include coordination toward development of product extension (Runners) drawings. Delivers high customer satisfaction through superior technical support and service.

  • You will provide timely and effective product application recommendations and advice to customers and Distributor channel partners to assist in meeting division sales goals and in assuring product performance viability.
  • You will support quotation process by providing (a) verification of PN validity/accuracy, and (b) supplying Bill of Material data to define the requested product for price and lead-time calculation.
  • You will review commercial and technical requirements of potential opportunities, advising customer of conflicts and making recommendations for changes. Escalate outstanding conflicts with potential order loss to the cognizant Product Sales Manager for review and further definition.
  • You will support the Order Management process by creating Engineering Change Order (ECO) or Engineering Change Request (ECR) forms to initiate new, or update needed, drawing requests.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.  
  • Minimum five years’ work experience in customer service, field sales, or engineering. 
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a 50 mile radius of the Jackson, MI facility will be considered 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. 
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints, drawings, quality related contract clauses, Government and Customer specifications. 
  • Basic understanding of U.S. Export Regulations and cognizant Government Agencies. 
  • Broad knowledge of the aerospace market, FED customers and competitors. 
  • Understanding of FED products, processes and organizational structure. 
  • Advanced teaming, problem-solving, negotiation, and time management skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient with computer software programs including: MS Office and Eaton software tools such as Enovia, Mfg-Pro, etc.
