Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is currently seeking Team B – Small Assembly – 2nd Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Badger Drive facility in Waukesha, WI.

 

The Assembler is responsible for the production of all types of Transformers in a continuous flow environment to meet the agreed upon customer requirements. This position will be responsible for the internal assembly, drying and filling of all types of Transformers.  Responsible for performing the various job functions as described in the job description at an acceptable level of efficiency and quality. Operators must be willing to perform various duties and assist all other team members as needed to meet Takt Time of Transformers through the continuous flow line.

  • Vacuum bell
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will make electrical connections for drying cycle per engineering instructions.
    • You will climb a 15 foot vertical ladder to check for foaming, oil level, etc.
  • Resistance testing
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will make electrical connections per the Engineering Reference Drawing.
    • You will conduct Resistance testing to a pass fail criteria.
    • You will make minor adjustments to unit if unit fails test.
  • Station 9 internal assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete internal transformer assembly including the final connection to high and low voltage bushings as directed on the OPS.
  • Station 8 internal assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete installation of high and low voltage bushing and other front plate hardware as directed on the OPS.
  • Station 7 internal assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete sinking and installation of internal hardware as directed on the OPS.
  • Station 6 internal assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete internal transformer assembly conduction ratio test. as directed on the OPS.
    • You will install thermo couples used in the vacuum bell process.
  • Station 5 internal assembly
    • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects.
    • You will complete internal transformer assembly including the lead training for the fuses and internal arrestors as directed on the OPS.

Qualifications

REQUIRED (BASIC) QUALIFICATIONS
  • A high school diploma or GED form an accredited institution is required. 
  • Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • Relocation benefits not included. Only candidates living within 50 miles of Waukesha WI will be considered.
  • Must be able to understand standard shop specifications (shop drawings, process sheets, and measuring equipment etc).
