Job Description

  • Define and continuously improve the “Segment 360º” standard processes for the APAC O&G market and ensure all segment leaders deploy the approach and build Segment playbooks:
    • Define the strategy-to-implementation-to-order book approach for all strategic accounts and macro projects. Ensure continuous process improvement via iterative learning & refinement;
    • Interact with all sales & marketing sub-functions, BUs and Sales to ensure the Segment 360º approach is well connected to all internal stakeholders;
    • Periodically consolidates and reviews our total global O&G commitment to markets ensuring that we are not over-stretching our resources and focus on where we can win.
  • Responsible to drive VOC gathering from interactions with all stakeholders via:
    • Participation in the main industry bodies, monitoring of industry-focused publications, podcasts, analysts’ reports etc…, to understand the key trends and their impact on the market’s organization and on customers’ needs, whether technological, economic, commercial or regulatory;
    • Analysis of the Go-To-Market and accumulation of market knowledge about the relevant stakeholders: end user, channel, integrators, influencers, competitors…;
    • Develop and drive segment growth strategy with segment leaders, in agreement with key stakeholders:
  • Working with BUs and the Alliances department, influence the offers needed to meet customers’ requirements:
    • Define segment offer and value proposition by working closely with the BUs and innovation functions to ensure that the product divisions are correctly addressing the segment needs;
    • For the short-term issues, work with BUs and external partners to create offers that answers each stakeholder groups’ issues and document our value proposition;
    • For long-term issues, define or influence roadmaps to address the market trends’ main possible consequences, and drive workgroups that will investigate and chase resulting opportunities from a technology, manufacturing and commercial readiness standpoint
  • Together with the Segment Marcom leaders, develop / drive segment marketing content creation and activation to bring our message to targeted personas and drive nurturing and demand generation activities:
    • Develop the customers relationship nurturing actions, and in Account-based segments maintain key high level relationships with major customers;
  • Together with global Electrical Sector sales organizations, develop / drive integrated actions plans to grow profitable sales:
    • Build and follows the executiong of segment growth plans jointly with countries, BUs and KAM. Support countries to put in place right organizational capabilities and training needed;
    • Identify end user targets with highest potential in vertical market segments along with countries and KAM;
    • Define and implement pipeline analytics dashboard by segment and business model, together with the reviews cadence and ensure data-driven continuous improvement of targeting and effectiveness;

  • This is a critical feeder role for: mid-size GM role, mid-large country sales roles, BU business development, VP marketing


Key skills:
  • University Degree in Engineering: Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent knowledge
  • Complementary Business degree a plus
  • 8 years of experience with Engineering companies with relationships to the relevant market
  • Great learning and listening ability
  • Ability to define, articulate and promote a technical and commercial vision for a complex application
  • Ability to execute multiple and complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a highly international environment / in virtual teams (across different locations) / in a matrix organization
  • Ability to think and act strategically
  • Must be strongly customer-oriented
  • Good written & oral communications skills and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
