Eaton’s Power Delivery division is currently seeking a Transformer Core & Coil Design Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Waukesha, WI facility.
The Transformer Core & Coil Design Engineer is responsible for providing both manufacturing support and design strategy related to cores and coils.  In this role, you will work in partnership with manufacturing to ensure consistent direction and execution of cores strategy.

  • You will Identify core and coil improvement opportunities and drive change
  • You will Develops design rules which are aligned to plant constraints based on product scope
  • You will Works in partnership with manufacturing to ensure consistent direction and execution
  • You will Leads efforts for standardization and complexity reduction on the shop floor
  • You will Responsible for ensuring manufacturability and best practices
  • You will Responsible to support production with technical support

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on electrical sector, power systems products
  • Experience with transformer coil winding, core manufacturing and transformer manufacturing
  • Experience with core and/or coil design rules
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP systems
  • Practical knowledge of phase gate Program Management processes
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality standards
Position Success Criteria :
  • Knowledge of core or coil design practices and failure modes.
  • Good oral, interpersonal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate.
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
  • Works to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Computer knowledge and the ability to use Microsoft Office tools. 
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary groups.
  • Ability to work with multicultural teams.
