Job Description

Eaton’s Power Delivery Division is seeking an Assembler - Regulators - Team B - 3rd Shift to join our team.  This position is based at our Waukesha (Badger Drive), WI facility.
 
 
The Assembler is responsible for producing and assembling all types of Regulators in a continuous flow environment to meet agreed upon customer requirements. This position will be responsible for the assembly of regulators, tap-changers, sinking of Regulators into tanks, building the covers, operating the vacuum pumps, and running Test equipment.  Responsible for being able to perform the various job functions as described in the job description at an acceptable level of efficiency and Quality. Assembler must be willing to do various jobs as directed and assist all other team members as needed to meet Takt time of Regulators through continuous flow line.

Regulator Assembler-Station 1-Tap Changers
  • You will  build the sub assembly that is required in the final assembly of all tap changers with use of calibrated tooling. This would include all operations done on the sub-assembly stations.
  • You will be ordering and restocking of components used at this station.
  • You are required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.
  • You must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation
     
Regulator Assembler-Station 2-Tap Changers
  • You  must be able to construct and test all types of tap changers using the OPS and standard work.
  • You are required to build any newly designed tap changers as required, and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of the work center.
  • You will be ordering and restocking of components used at this station.
  • You are required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.
  • You must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation
Regulator Assembler Station 1
  • You will pull unit from oven, collect and kit all needed parts for assembly, and install some of the components on the Regulator as designated in the Standard Work, and according to the OPS with calibrated torque equipment.
  • You will perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects as required and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of work center.
  • You will be ordering and restocking of components used at this station.
  • You are equired to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.
Regulator Assembler Station 2
  • You receive unit from Station 1 and will install components as designated in the standard work, and according to the OPS with calibrated torque equipment.
  • You  must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects as required, and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of work center.
  • You will be ordering and restocking of components used at this station.
  • You are required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.
  • Regulator Assembler Station 3
  • You will receive unit from station 2 and will install components as designated in the standard work, and according to the OPS with calibrated torque equipment.
  • You  must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation for defects as required, and assist all other team members as required to meet Takt time of work center.
  • You will be responsible for installing the cover, and finishing all operations of the assembly and sinking the unit in the tank.
  • You will conduct ratio testing on the unit and troubleshoots any potential problems found in order to complete ratio test.
  • You are required follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.
Regulator Assembler Floor
  • You assemble and build regulators up until cover operation, per the OPS, aid in prepping tanks for sinking, and assists all other team members as needed to meet Takt time throughout work center.
  • You will be ordering and restocking of components used at this station.
  • You are required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.
Pad-Mount Regulator Assembler
  • You pull unit from oven and transports to assembly area in warehouse.
  • You assemble unit on floor, complete per OPS requirements and perform ratio tests unit before sinking.
  • You troubleshoot any problems during process and sinks unit into required tank.
  • You finishes all internal hookups as required per OPS and install bypass module if needed per OPS.
  • You transport unit to 3phase vacuum chambers for processing.
  • You build of pad-mounts will also include assembling of multi-phase pad-mounts per requirements of OPS.
Regulator Assembler - Cover builder
  • Builds all Regulator covers, J-Box Assemblies, bushings per the OPS, per quality standards with use of torque and DC controlled tooling.
  • Assists all other team members as needed to meet Takt time throughout work center.
  • The assembler must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation.
  • The job duties include ordering and restocking of components used at this station.
  • The team member is required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work
Regulator Assembler -Vacuum Pumps
  • You will be moving unit to pumps by use of overhead crane.
  • You prepare unit for running on vacuum pump, per the OPS worksheet and pperate the vacuum pump.
  • You run-in tests per OPS standards.
  • You remove unit from vacuum pump to leak test area by use of overhead crane.
  • You leak test units, per requirements of OPS.
  • You retrieve tanks from the warehouse to be prepped for sinking.
  • You use turn table/lift to sink square units.
  • You assist all other team members as needed to meet Takt time throughout work center.
  • You load units onto test line, after soak time has been completed per OPS standards.
  • You must perform a visual inspection of the previous operation.  The assembler is also responsible for ensuring that the oil in the unit is at the correct level.
  • You will move the unit from the vacuum pumps to the test line, and all required test operation is complete according to the standard work.
  • You are required to follow standard work and 6S while performing the assembly work.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Must be able to understand standard shop specifications (shop drawings, process sheets, measuring equipment etc).  
  • A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required from an accredited institution.
  • The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required.
  • No relocation is being offered for this position. Candidates must reside within the 50 miles of the work location in order to be considered.
