Job Description

Eaton’s Fluid and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, Mississippi facility.
 
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of the site continuous improvement strategy.  This includes deploying and improving Operational Excellence processes like Lean, Six Sigma, Manufacturing Engineering, and Manufacturing Strategy. The role will support the implementation of projects to drive improvement in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. The Continuous Improvement Manager will deploy lean tools across the facility in a manner that build employee engagement and ensure long term sustainability.  This role also supports the plant manager and functional leaders in establishing methodologies for directing, maintaining and monitoring all activities associated with the successful application of Eaton’s Business System (EBS) and Lean Implementation process (ELS).

  • You will establish and maintain Manufacturing Engineering Strategies and Continuous Improvement plans to support the daily production requirements of the plant and to ensure cost out and standardization of processes.
  • You will establish and execute Lean/Six Sigma for the Plant to meet key operational metrics, including growth, cost out and cultural change plans. Align improvement strategies to business profit plan for delivery, cost, and quality improvement impact.
  • You will demonstrate knowledge of key lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5-S, and standard work.
  • You will participate as a key business partner to the leadership team. Contribute to business strategy development . Help to create the future state as it relates to shortened value streams, manufacturing strategies, and cross-functional processes.
  • You will interface with corporate functional and business leaders as well as counterparts at other Eaton divisions and groups. Participation in ELS, Six Sigma and other corporate groups/councils.
  • You will team with Operations Leadership on organizational design and development to ensure appropriate results.
  • You will support change to improve organizational effectiveness. Drive the change management necessary to implement effective programs and create a safety and continuous improvement focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Operations from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
