Job Description

Eaton Corporation’s Controls and Protection Division, (CPD) is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. This position is located in Watertown, WI. 
 
 The primary function of the Operations Manager is to manage the Production and Continuous Improvement activities to meet site safety, quality, delivery and productivity expectations.

  • You will ensure workforce embraces and operates with  Zero Incident Safety Culture
  • You will support Production Supervisors to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory goals.
  • You will lead Tier process (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3) to ensure continual advancement of safety, quality,
  • on-time delivery and productivity.
  • You will lead the effort to optimize material flow through production areas; facilitates improved layout of production area.
  • You will participate in annual strategic manufacturing planning process (including budgeting process).
  • You will provide leadership to Production Supervisors, manufacturing engineers and support staff in identifying new capital requirements and writing capital appropriations and oversee production team capacity planning to ensure alignment with outcome of SIOP.
  • You will support production teams’ adherence to plant’s safety, quality, materials and
    management of procedures, support new product launches and industrialization process.

Qualifications

 
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing people is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
  • Master’s degree
  • Green belt or higher Six Sigma certification
  • Understanding and experience driving environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
  • Lean certified
  • Management experience, including management of professionals
