Eaton’s Aerospace division is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support our Aerospace Division in Rumford, RI!
 
The Lead HR Generalist will provide broad range of HR Site support to Rumford plant of the Aerospace Group’s Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division. The selected candidate will proactively partner with the site to provide support, anticipate needs and provide recommendations to talent challenges

Essential Functions:
  • You will foster a collaborative Union/Management relationship and administers the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Support Rumford facility training initiatives in alignment with CBA. Promote a positive employee relations atmosphere and helps close grievances
  • You will act DER for the plant’s FAA Drug and Alcohol Compliance Program; maintain compliance; oversee training.
  • You will oversee and maintain union time tracking, meeting all CBA obligations and financial deadlines and reporting.
  • You will oversee leaves of absences; worker’s compensation claims; maintaining compliance to applicable labor laws.
  • You will maintain and assist in executing affirmative action and EEO plans, including outreach programs, to meet federal, state requirements.
  • You will develop and implement I&D strategy for plant; increase ERG participation.
  • You will develop & implement the facility’s annual Affirmative Action Plans and related EEO activities to insure compliance to all applicable legal guidelines.  Develops robust outreach programs to ensure a diverse slate of candidates for all opportunities.
  • You will coordinate the recruitment process for open production hourly positions and assistance in the selection process of the production hourly workforce.
  • You will ensure effective onboarding of new and/or transferred employees.
  • You will develop and coordinate the facility’s training and development programs. This includes conducting the annual training needs assessment, developing the annual training plan, and assisting in the implementation and administration of training programs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Human Resources generalist work function.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or MBA with an HR concentration from an accredited institution
  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources generalist function in a manufacturing environment
 
Position Criteria:
  • Ensures all initiatives around Inclusion & Diversity, Wellness, and Culture are understood and executed at the site for both hourly and salary personnel
  • Develops and delivers training to address skill or competency gaps for both hourly and salaried workforces
  • Deploy and support all HR initiatives, programs, processes and systems as required and assigned
  • Support and execute the deployment of HR Special Projects as assigned
  • Support the development and deployment of HR Functional Excellence initiatives through the execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for the New Employee Talent Management Lifecycle  – including but not limited to the following: creation & maintenance of salaried position questionnaires, requisition creation & tracking, interview scheduling and coordination, offer letter creation, & on-boarding of new hires
  • Coordinate training and development programs to meet the needs and objectives of individuals and groups as required and assigned
  • Other duties as required and assigned
