Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicle division is seeking an entry level Industrial to join our team. The position will be based at our Athens, GA facility.
 
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for the evaluation and implementation of improvement in work flow, material handling and plant layout for existing products. The Industrial Engineer will also establish and maintain accurate part routings and labor standards to support proper costing and CI improvements.

  • You will develop plant layouts on CAD.  This includes equipment, office and some plant facilities drawings.
  • You will issue and track machine move orders.
  • You will issue and track capital asset numbers and surplus equipment disposal.
  • You will estimate direct labor content for new products.
  • You will recommend material handling, direct labor and plant layout improvements at existing facilities.
  • You will perform time studies as required for establishing direct labor standards.
  • You will maintain item masters, BOM’s, routings and work centers in the MRP/costing system and yearly updates due to cycle time changes.
  • You will prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations for a variety of assigned engineering projects.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Athens, GA 30601 will be considered.
Position Success Criteria:
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
