Heat Treat Area Supervisor
A. Facilitate the daily workforce performance.
B. Coordinate production activities with supporting groups to ensure production objectives.
C. Supervise the shipping and receiving of material from internal suppliers and ensure internal customers satisfaction with the service provide as regards delivery time.
D. Develop and implement improvements to the HT manufacturing processes including new equipment or process improvements and proposing and implementing capital projects in HT.
2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Advise staff personnel on daily production status.
B. Promote Standardize work methods and ways to improve them.
C. Provide and implement training that will enable personnel to better perform their

E. Coordinate and maintain associate clerical files regarding attendance, overtime equalization, vacation, training and time-off requests.
F. Conduct weekly department meetings with associates regarding communications, department and plant concerns, and policy interpretation.
G. Provide training resources within the department for training new associates.
H. Assist General Supervisors in determining personnel requirements.
I. Initiate and coordinate assistance, as required from support departments.
J. Coordinate Capital projects for their proposal, approval & implementation.
K. Monitor machinery, equipment and facility and initiate maintenance work orders as required, to ensure efficient, effective and safe working conditions.
L. Promotes continuous improvement and promotes standardization across the plant and organization.
M. Provides the best manufacturing solutions for the production process by benchmarking inside and outside the company and by selecting the adequate machinery, equipment and technology available in the market.
N. Provides and proposes improvements to the current Heat Treat processes to modify Furnaces Recipes or parameters in order to get better metallurgical properties at the more efficient cycle.
O. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
P. Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
Q. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
R. Manages and control the HT Budget to assure the procurement of the required products & services for the proper operation.
Supervises a variety of engineering assignments in work measurement for the establishment of standards. Plans and oversees utilization of production facilities and personnel in department or other subdivision of establishment. Supervises equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities. Plans and oversees work study and training programs to promote efficient personnel utilization. May work closely with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of robotics to increase production quality, efficiency, or volume.
Qualifications5. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE.
A. Metallurgical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree or related fields required.
B. A Minimum of 5 year experience combined between formal metallurgical education and heat treat experience is preferred.
C. English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required
D. Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, plant engineering, production/materials planning, maintenance needs and systems application.
E. Basic knowledge of national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies such as ISO 14001, MESH and/or applicable regional initiatives.
F. Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.
G. Strong leadership skills, must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.
6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
A. This position requires some travel.
