Eaton Corporation’s FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems Division has an opening for Team Leader, Manufacturing – Machine Shop This position is based in Jackson, MS.
The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. 
Team Leader, Manufacturing – Machine Shop is responsible to lead the machine shop operations for hourly employees and to drive continuous improvements in production, quality, and safety while driving improvement through the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS).

  • You will schedule production of machined components to meet stated goals for capacity utilization, on time delivery, and cost.
  • You will track team metrics (Safety, On Time Delivery, internal and External Quality, Productivity, OT hours, continuous improvement, etc).
  • You will implements systems and procedures to support team/cells utilizing High Performance Teams and coach team members (hourly & salaried) on implementation of Eaton Lean system to drive cost & waste out of the process.
  • You will prepare and deliver periodic reports to JLT for team performance and develop yearly business plan for production cell.
  • You will participate in leadership roles during plant wide activities involving (safety, employee satisfaction, and continuous improvement).
  • You will direct day-to-day activities in production cells and manage priorities on shared resources to achieve the business needs.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operations/Manufacturing
  • Relocation is not approved for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50 miles radius of Jackson, MS will be considered.
  • All positions require use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in arms regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of Aerospace industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization (customers, marketing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing) is key.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment with strong ability to take action and get results.
    Change management skills a plus.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, coaching and consulting skills.
  • Master’s Degree. 
  • Collaborative style and ability to work cross functionally.
