Eaton’s Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Glenolden, Pennsylvania facility.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and leading continuous improvement / cost out initiatives across the organization. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will develop and maintain robust, cost efficient manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices.

  • You will support cost-out events and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • You will apply lean manufacturing techniques as a means to eliminate waste and deliver products to customer’s expectations.
  • You will implement methods and practices to reduce variation.
  • You will conducts design experiments work to understand application of SPC and gage R&R.
  • You will participate in concurrent engineering efforts and critical design reviews to minimize product
  • development costs and maximize useful life of products. Conduct Design For Manufacturing and value engineering initiatives as applicable.
  • You will develop work breakdown structures as a tool to develop cost estimates.
  • You will perform root cause and failure analysis as needed.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 1 year of engineering experience.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ''Green Card Holder''), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area (50 miles) of the Glenolden, PA facility will be considered for this position.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using 2D and 3D computer-aided (CAD) software to produce models and drawings of assembly and/or machining fixtures is highly preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
  • Machining experience with CNC or manual machining.
