Sales and Marketing Center (SMC) partners with multiple Eaton businesses across different geographies to deliver incremental value and drive growth by providing best in class solutions and practices through its five integral CoEs  -  Sales Analytics & Market Research [SAMR], Creative CoE, Customer Services [CS], Master Data Management [MDM] and Pricing CoE. Sales and Marketing Center (SMC) has an opportunity for HR Generalist role.
This position will be primarily responsible for helping meet functional objectives through providing HR Business Partnership to various CoE’s at Sales and Marketing Center. The incumbent will also be supporting various teams for establishing and maintaining positive employee relationships, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, compensation, training, and assist in driving HR initiatives and HR programs aligned with short and long-term business objectives. The person in this position will also be responsible for assisting in deploying and reinforcing Key HR human resources policies and processes and their dissemination through employee communications, and/or meetings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements)

  • Assists in execution of Eaton’s HR Annual Processes and monitor HR Systems across teams within SMC.
  • Manage end to end Hiring process with focus on hiring right talent, partnering with hiring managers, work closely with Talent Acquisition Center and analyze hiring metrics that measure the success of staffing efforts for both permanent as well as contractual Hiring. Pro-actively drive recruiting and talent strategies, including but not limited to external partnerships, university relation strategies, and brand recognition initiatives.
  • Assist in consistently deploying Eaton’s performance management system across the various CoE’s. This includes reinforcement of annual goal setting process, assessment process and periodic feedback sessions. Guide, support, orient and train employees and managers through the entire APEX cycle.
  • Support and assist in execution of Talent retention initiatives through progressive HR practices, Key HR Metrics and internal/external analysis
  • Drive end to end Training and Development framework for SMC which includes training need analysis, designing Annual Training Plan, execution of Key learning initiatives and guide and support learning council.  
  • Plan for Employee Engagement Surveys, help analyze results, and assist managers and teams in action planning exercises, follow-through on action plans and guide the Employee Survey Council.
  • Drive Key Communication process: Assuring two way communications processes between employees and management, through skip levels, HR Roundtables, group meeting, One on One etc.
  • Drive HR functional excellence through deployment of Eaton programs, internal HR Scorecards, ensuring quality of process and content alignment with the Eaton Business System. Drive 100% HRMS Data Integrity. Drive Process improvement, innovation and operational excellence for HR processes
  • Provides guidance & handle queries on Human resource management policies, processes and systems.
  • Partner with local and remote peers including HR Business Partners, TAC, EU, HRS team and HR site leads to work collaboratively, share best practices, leverage projects and learning's, and drive consistency in programs, practices, and communications where appropriate.
  • Promotes positive employee relations and employee engagement. Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievement
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s ethics, goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement. Govern and support various Employee councils  within the organization
  • Ensure compliance of human resources activities with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Deliver on other projects as assigned based on business/organizational needs.


  • Master’s degree in Human Resources from an accredited educational institution
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Time Management and Prioritization Skills
  • Flexible to work in multiple shift timing (General Timing for this role would be 12:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.)
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams, effective presentation and consultation skills, strong data analysis and representation skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively navigate and influence sensitive situations
