Job Description                        Eaton Aerospace South Molton has an exciting opening for a Project Engineer aligned with aircraft fluid conveyance systems and electrical design.

Primary Responsibility:

·         Take active responsibility for your personal safety and help other with theirs.

·         Report into the South Molton site leadership team and be responsible for project and sustaining engineering functions for aircraft fuel and hydraulic system product.

·         Communication with non specialists

·         Participate within multifunction groups and interact with other engineers for analytical problem solving, new product development, product improvements, value added engineering activity and other technical issues as needed.

Essential Functions:

·         Develop as a Safety Champion while working with others in the engineering team to maintain oversight of safety related aspects of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrically actuated activities on site

·         Follow Eaton Business Management System policies, procedures, and work instructions

·         Lead technical interaction with suppliers and customers on and off site

·         Actively seek professional development

·         Mentoring and coaching for non engineering personnel

·         Lead and/or participate as a team member on problem solving and value engineering tasks across the fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical actuation activities in South Molton .

o    Provide regular status updates and participate in team planning sessions.

o    Provide analytical support to product teams as part of an integrated project team (IPT)

o    Resolve technical issues based on engineering analysis and Eaton business tools

o    Prepare comprehensive engineering reports detailing technical issues and document analysis

·         Maintains understanding of products, manufacturing processes, and product applications

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

Basic Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited University

·         Minimum 2 years experience within electro mechanical (preferred) or hydro mechanical manufacturing, assembly and test environment

·         Full driving license

Preferred Qualifications / previous experience:

·         Project or programme management

·         Statistical analysis and process control

·         Aerospace experience within a process orientated organisation

Engineering degree or equivalent

Demonstrable experience in an engineering test environment preferably in aerospace

Experience generating component test reports

Familiarity liaising with customers

Experience presenting at internal and external technical reviews

Fluency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint
