Director, Operations, Power Quality Division APAC
Provide overall leadership of Power Quality Asia Pacific and ES India Manufacturing Operations. Develop short and long term strategies and drive tactical plans that support annual business, financial and growth objectives. Foster individual ownership of operational excellence, quality, supply chain and EHS at all levels of the organization and engage site leadership teams and employees in continuous improvement fully utilizing the Eaton Business System.
A. Responsible for the complete order fulfilment process and ensuring a competitive manufacturing cost structure including manufacturing, supply chain and quality.
B. Work with the business leaders to create short and long term strategies to deliver operational objectives. Drive annual profit plan goals at divisional and site levels.
C. Work closely with the Electrical Sector, APAC & Regional Operations organizations including Operational Excellence, Quality, Supply Chain and EHS to ensure functional alignment of strategic objectives, annual goals and metrics.
D. Lead and drive PQ Supply Chain organization, with alignment to Eaton SCM organization, to drive sourcing decisions, improve supplier management practices and reduce overall costs for the organization.
E. Take the manufacturing organization culture to the next level embedding Safety, Quality and Productivity at every level as measured by Safety KPIs, employee engagement, customer PPM and CONC.
F. Develop and deploy a long term manufacturing footprint strategy that ensures manufacturing cost, quality and delivery (lead times) exceed industry benchmarks. Achieve role model status at each manufacturing site.
G. Champion the Eaton Business System (EBS) across all locations. Coach and mentor Plant Managers and Site Leaders to identify necessary process improvements, develop new processes, implement metrics, and adopt best practices. Responsible for monthly cadence of review (EPM, BSC, SQDCI) and countermeasures.
H. Provide environmental, health, safety and security leadership to locations by developing, implementing, improving and maintaining EHS programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with strategic objectives and Eaton Corporation standards. Champion MESH across all locations.
I. Build organizational capability to meet future leadership needs by holding others accountable and fostering an environment where employees take personal ownership of customer solutions. Drive a unified organization and a passion for customer excellence where the goal is always to exceed expectations.
J. Own all interunit transactions, and planning processes related to the IU business outside of the region.
Qualifications• BS degree in a technical field with preference to MBA; knowledge of power quality helpful.
• Deep manufacturing experience with more than 15 years of proven management of plant operations. Strong power electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
• Very strong English communication skills with ability to navigate matrix MNC environment.
• Strong background in Lean and Quality (Six Sigma) tools
• Proven experience in process development, implementation and sustainability.
• Significant project management experience managing global projects.
• Global experience; knowledge of working across different cultures.
• Effective communication and team leadership skills are essential. Ability to drive results by developing and empowering teams and unifying remote global locations.
