Job Description

We’re currently recruiting a Bid Manager to join our highly successful team in Slough.

 

Reporting to the Sales Director, as the Bid Manager you will provide “Best in Class” Bids and be the benchmark for all Applications Engineers in your team. You will design valued engineered solutions, provide complete technical , Application & Design support for Eaton’s Power Quality product and Electrical solutions.

 

Your main duties :

 

  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) solution design
  • Pre sales technical and commercial support
  • Project estimation and quotation creation
  • Tender and drawing review
  • Site meetings when required
  • Technical and commercial responsibility for project handovers
  • Supporting daily pre-sales technical enquiries from customers, field sales and marketing
  • Providing High Level Technical support to junior team members, assisting with their continued development
  • Apex reviews and Goal Setting
  • Organising team training and improvement planning
  • Monthly Reporting to Sales Director
  • Working with the team and other departments to improve and streamline procedures

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Preferred:

  • Extensive product pre-sales & technical experience in a relevant industry
  • A proven record of large system sales at the top end of the marketplace up to multi-million pound projects
  • A proven track record of designing Value Engineered solutions
  • Highly experienced in the production of tendering packages including drawings, compliance statements & bids

Desired:

  • AutoCAD qualified
  • Formal qualification in the Electrical field
