For the Research and Development Department in our Power Distribution Division (Miniature Circuit Breakers and related products) headquartered in Vienna we are looking for a
Senior Hardware Development Engineer
Location:  Vienna  
Job Description:
  • Performing technical feasibility studies for new functions, products and applications
  • Providing high level technical skills in Hardware design (analogue, mixed signal & digital)
  • Performing and supporting design and calculations of electrical aspects (Design For Six Sigma)
  • Designing and simulating electronic circuits and drawing s electronic schematics
  • Preparing design and test documentation, as well as technical information/ and storing it in databases
  • Building up prototypes, arranging and supporting the manufacturing of test samples and initial production runs
  • Leading  safety, climatic and endurance tests both internally and with external test houses to ensure CE conformity  for our products


  • Technical education in electronic engineering
  • Experience in developing electronic hardware (e.g analogue, digital)
  • Deep knowledge of analogue and digital simulation, digital prototyping ( e.g. Polarion, Spice, Matlab)
  • Knowledge in C/Assembler language programming would be an asset
  • Experience welcome in power electronics design, especially AC and DC high current, high voltage switching technology
  • Knowledge in EMC conform design & testing as well as thermal , environmental and endurance testing
  • Working knowledge of English, German would be an asset
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of protocols and interfaces (e.g. IP/Ethernet, wireless and processor interfaces.)
  • Experience in Project Management  and agile development methods
  • Knowledge in ARM Cortex based hardware architecture
  • Knowledge of MCB / RCD protection concepts, methods and techniques
For this position we offer a minimum salary of € 2,500/month (14 times per year) according to the Austrian Bargaining Agreement of the Electrical and Electronics Industries. The overpayment is dependent on the respective subject-related work experience, education and qualification.
