Studies advance schedules, plans adequate material and manpower to execute the production schedule and meet or exceed customer expectations. Coordinates schedule difficulties with dependent departments
Develops strategic manufacturing plans in compliance with Eden Prairie’s core/non-core strategy
Fosters a motivated, highly committed workforce, with emphasis on the development of skills to accomplish High 5 goals and Value Stream Objectives
Resolves employee problems along with supervisory team. Counsels employees on behavior or performance issues. Follows established company policies and values, and contractual obligations
Recommends design and process changes to improve manufacturing
Prepares manufacturing, tactical plans to include multi-year projections of process development necessary to achieve new product, quality, and productivity goals
Able to Identify new capital needs or capital improvement needs required for process improvements, cost reductions, quality improvements or new products by facilitating value stream map reviews
Ensures the achievement of Profit Plan objectives through effective cost management in relevant operation departments including managing labor efficiency and overtime
Works with machine tool and tooling vendors to investigate and recommend process changes. Implements process control plans, installs equipment, and debugs equipment
Provides leadership and guidance to the front line leaders and the engineering team and maintenance teams
Develop the front line supervisors and engineers with challenging assignments, clear performance expectations and ongoing coaching
Develops goals, measures and sets expectations, in alignment with Divisional and Corporate goals and initatives, with Front Line Leaders, Engineers, and employees to enhance departmental performance.
Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable
Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts. Including a focus on the execution of MESH and ELSS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing setting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading others.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Master’s in Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited university.
- 3 or more years of experience managing leaders of people in a manufacturing setting.
- 3 or more years of experience with planning adequate material and manpower to execute production schedules.
- 3 or more years of experience designing process changes to improve manufacturing.
