Job Description


• Provide technical support to end users and stakeholders from multiple communication platforms

• Deliver training on core products to stakeholders within the business group

• Deliver training on core products to end users

• Support in the continual development of product documentation

• Strategically identify trends and analyze fault patterns on products

• Implementation of report creation and communicating back to stakeholders

• Supervise and help in the further development of existing technical support team members

• Manage the team to ensure business continuity is maintained, whilst helping in the further development of the department



• Advise the Product Management/Management Team on country specific product issues

• Communication verbally and written format is essential to ensure clear, concise information is delivered to end client and stakeholders

• Support in the development and creation of technical bulletin to be issued to key stakeholders

• Support in the creation of customer concerns, reporting these through the current policy to ensure all concerns are recorded

• Assesses to take ownership of technical issues reported, testing products to ensure the concern is valid

• Advise and support end users/stakeholders/customers on product related issues ensuring resolution is achieved to a satisfactory conclusion

• Delivery of presentations to business stakeholders and client basis

• Perform in a structured methodical manner to achieve the desired results and goals



The candidate will require extensive knowledge of fire alarm and PA/VA systems, ideally with a proven track record demonstration within the installation, service and commission field. They will also need to be able to demonstrate a very competent level of understand of BS5839-pt1, EN-54 as a minimum. Have a limited knowledge of all other relevant British standards which are involved within the fire industry.

The correct candidate would have strong presentation skills.


Essential Requirements:

• Experience within installation/service/commissioning of fire alarms

• FIA module 1 basic fire alarm deign

• Good communicator both written and verbal

• Have a good understanding of computers and software packages

• Logically thinking with a mind to fully understand an issue and be able to resolve in a timely manner

• Work well within a team environment

• Strong leadership qualities

• Strong presentation skills

• Comfortable working  with Office suite applications  especially word, PowerPoint and Excel

• Worked within a technical support role previously

• Experience in presenting and public speaking

• Worked in a supervisory position previously
