Eaton is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst  for its Electrical Product Group Circuit Protection Division.   The Senior Financial Analyst  position will be located in Moon Township, PA location.

Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial closing, the development of financial forecasts, annual Profit Plan, Strategic Plan, and provide proactive financial analysis and support for the Controls and Protection Division (CPD).

Essential Functions:
  • You will assist in the monthly financial closing, via the collection, assembly and analysis of data from various sources.  Complete month end reports and respond to internal customer inquiries of financial results.
  • You will compare operational data and financial reports to prior periods, forecasts or objectives.  Furnish the data to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and/or VP of Finance in a timely manner, highlighting areas of concern and providing potential alternative courses of action through the development and subsequent interpretation of the financial information.
  • You will investigate variances and evaluate their effect on planned objectives.  Proactively investigate questionable entries and advise management of potential problems.
  • You will maintain and analyze monthly entries to budgets and balance sheet accounts which include the processing of accounting entries and the analysis of charges for accuracy and correctness of account distribution.  Assume responsibility for review of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure all GAAP and SOX compliance requirements are met.
  • You will maintain statistical headcount data, assist in monthly forecasting, provide analysis as required on an ad hoc basis, and remain involved with intercompany account balances.
  • You will focus on continuous business process improvements, challenge current processes/procedures to determine if improvements are deemed appropriate and consequently implement process improvements.
  • You will have other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience in financial planning or general accounting.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Knowledge of Eaton financial systems (Encore, Oracle, Mentor, etc.).
  • Understanding of GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Proficient in Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
