The EMT analyst is responsible for the management and resolution of all EMT errors for all Global Hydraulics EMT relationships.

The EMT Analyst serves as a member of the SMC Intercompany team based in Pune, India, and provides the central contact for all EMT relationships in place for the Hydraulics group. The EMT Analyst will manage the day to day EMT error reports and provide timely resolution to errors so that Customer Orders are shipped and invoiced on time. The analyst will also be a liaison between the PBU (Primary Business Unit) and SBU (Secondary Business Unit) to insure that all EMT transactions are working properly. In addition to the above, the EMT Analyst will own the end-to-end process and will be responsible to effective error resolution and root cause analysis.

 

 

Essential Function:

 

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and correct any EMT errors that occur daily as detailed in the EMT Error Reports 

     

  • Report on the functioning of the different EMT relationships by preparing and presenting Metrics to business leadership (for example, Error Aging, Error Counts, Number of Errors as a % of Order Lines)

     

  • Evaluate Reconciliation Reports and Forward Looking Reports shared by the plant sites and recommend the appropriate fixes 

     

  • Furnish timely communication to the different sites on EMT Error Resolution, normally via email

     

  • Identify any potential Business and/or IT Process gaps found in the EMT process and work to close those gaps either by working with the business on changes to standardize work, or by working with IT through the Remedy Change Request Process

     

  • Train and educate other groups (Customer Service, Plant Shipping Leads, etc.) on how to understand and manage the EMT process.  Maintain Work Instructions and Standardized Work documents

     

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and correct any ASN errors that occur daily as detailed in the EMT Error Reports and/or through EDI failure emails

     

  • Work in different Mfg Pro databases and effectively transact in Sales Order Maintenance, EMT PO Maintenance, EDI Maintenance, Shipping Workbench, and other key EMT menus as required

     

  • Focus on continuous improvement and not accepting status quo. Always look for ways to improve on the EMT process. Must focus on business process improvement within the Sales and Shipping organizations to eliminate waste, increase productivity, and reduce costs.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Graduate

  • Strong Communication skills and ability to work within many different cultures and time zones

     

  • Analytical Skills – the ability to identify a problem, identify the root cause and recommend solutions

     

  • Knowledge / Experience in Customer Service or SCM

     

  • Experience in the use of MfgPro (knowledge of both eB and eB2.1 versions a plus)

     

  • Networking – must be skilled at quickly establishing a rapport with the Site EMT owners

     

  • Experience with the creation of Metrics

     

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
