Eaton’s  Electrical Products Group is seeking a Sales and Product Manager for its Residential Wiring Devices division. The Sales and Product Manager  position will be located in Williamsburg, VA.
Position Overview :
As the Marina Power and Lighting (MP&L) sales and product manager, you will lead, manage and direct the sales activities for the business to grow top line revenue and market share, manage key customer accounts and channels, as well as develop the sales and marketing team talent. In addition to leading the sales activities, you will have product management responsibilities to lead product roadmap development, strategic pricing and price realization initiatives, the stage-gate product development process and marketing initiatives. This individual will also provide leadership and development to a sales team consisting of inside/outside sales managers and application engineers.

Essential Functions:
  • Analyze market data, trends, and customer needs and work with the business operations manager to translate that data into an actionable strategy that grows top line revenue and market share.
  • Repair, build and maintain relationships with key accounts, various channels to market,  market parties, internal sales organizations and business units.
  • Develop and implement strategic plan and profit plan for MPL Products
  • Lead division and company-wide marketing efforts, including the development of supporting marketing collateral, such as presentations, new product launch materials, and catalog updates related to products of responsibility.
  • Work closely with field sales, distributors, and contractors to identify and deliver new sales opportunities and initiatives. Drive new sales growth across multiple channels, including OEM, Retail, E-tailers, Integrators, Specialty distributors  and Wholesale Segments.
  • Identify and develop strategic partner relationships. Coordinate special customer requirements with plant resources; identify and quantify new product opportunities for product line roadmap.
  • Manage pricing bands for products of responsibility.  Develop pricing strategies and manage pricing guidelines for the products, including price increases. 
  • Lead stage-gate product development process to drive timely completion of new product launches.
  • Provide and lead marketing/sales input for new product development, product upgrades, and product launches.  Analyze product costs and evaluate methods of obtaining cost reductions
  • Identify and lead major sales opportunities, initiatives, and new channels for product sales growth.  Maintain effective communication with customers and sales personnel, negotiating business consistent with product line profitability objectives.
  • Manage the project quote and engineering process to facilitate 48 hour turn from request to delivery

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Marketing.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Preferred Qualifications :
  • MBA preferred
