Job Description

  1. Evaluate PPAP packages according to AIAG guidelines and/or customer agreed requirements, Engineer should possess the thorough knowledge of APQP & PPAP process,
  2. Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis.
  3. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Machining, Casting, Sheet Metal & Rubber Hoses is preferred as per sequence.
  4. Well versed with all problem solving techniques, should be able to apply practical exposure to close critical issues.
  5. Lead projects in team and act as SPOC for multiple sites or customers.
  6. Assist in data analysis and business growth with Team Lead.
  7. Eye on details and acumen to anticipate customer requirements.
  8. Encourage & implement Continuous Improvement culture within team & at supplier end.
  9. Work as a co- coordinator  between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve definition of requirements.
  10. Experience in managing or supporting ISO 9000 : 2015 audit requirements.
  11. Understand customer requirement and quick turnaround time on adhoc requests.
  12. Monitor and communicate supplier performance to all key suppliers.
  13. Flexible in attitude and approach to accepting all tasks related to the position & Flexible attitude to work with the willingness to learn new skills when required.

Qualifications

  • BE in (Mechanical , Production, Electrical, & Industrial Engineering ) with 6-8 years’ experience in, Manufacturing / or Process Engineering ,Supplier Development Engineering (Manufacturing experience)
  • Good communication skills - Must speak and write English fluently.
  • Experience in working with global customers , suppliers.
  • PPAP evaluation or preparation knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis.
  • Quick response to deadlines.
  • Good collaboration skill.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and project management skills and applications
