Job Description

Primary Function:
 
Responsible for project execution and functional excellence build up for  DPQ, APAC ES covering full aspect of program management including new product development (NPD), cost out, STP and commercial programs for DPQ  business. Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of the program management function to enable cross-functional planning, review and execution of NPD, localization/integration (global footprint) , overall business margin improvement projects, including VAVE (cost out) and commercial projects. Partner with business unit leaders and lead cross-functional team to manage full lifecycle of projects to enable business growth strategies and achieve the targeted business results; Drive project management capability build up including people, process and tools through continuous improvements with integrated cross-functional teams in DPQ.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Execute DPQ PM objectives and goals; provide direction to the program management teams in areas of strategic objectives, program execution and functional excellence requirements.
  • Partner with business unit leaders, program management team, product line management team, R&D management team in APAC and also other regions for successful execution of portfolio projects cross DPQ to achieve the target business results within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.
  • Evaluate current program execution performance and identify areas for improvement; Drive implementation and continuous improvements in project management processes and tools.
  • Enhance program commercialization process working with cross functional team including Marketing and Sales team, engineering and key business stake holders.
  • Effectively manage risks though early exposure, ongoing monitoring, and timely driving cross-functional teams for solution to achieve project financial goal and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and leverage effective relationships with senior management and cross-functional team to facilitate resource allocation, escalation of commercial and technical issues for timely resolution, and support critical customer relationships.
  • Manage requirements of the program through effective planning, measuring, controlling and integrating all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.
  • Evaluate and build up PM competency cross DPQ.
  • Support annual revenue of over $600M trade sales (global UPS programs).
  • Drives a continual improvement of margins to meet organization segment goals 1.5 ROS improvement in 5 years.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelors’ degree required; Engineering or Business degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Program Management and other functions including marketing and sales, engineering and operations.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Capable of driving financial improvements and customer satisfaction on projects.
  • Proven Leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment; Strong leadership track record for change management.
  • Very proficient in Program Management methodologies, processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to present to Eaton senior management and customers.
  • Ability to leverage resources and influence without authority; Ability to lead using communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and conflict management skills; Experience in Risk Management.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Broad knowledge of the Electrical industry; Knowledge of Eaton products, product applications, services, markets, and competitors.
  • Knowledge of sales, customers and customer relations.
  • Experience managing complex programs with: 1) components / subsystems / systems scope of responsibility, 2) High customer/business risk, 3) Significant NRE budgets, and 4) Substantial Revenue Growth Program value.
  • Must be capable of leading effectively in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members.
  • Must be capable of initiating and providing recommendations and solutions, and be able to communicate effectively with senior leadership team for review and approval that will achieve desired customer outcomes and business results.
