Engineer for Switchboard New Product Development
- Work on NPI and sustaining projects on LV distribution products.
- Design and Develop LV distribution products, meeting customer requirement, cost target and Market related technology.
- Coordinate with Global stakeholders and Drive project execution through Design, testing and implementation phase
- Contribute to technical development of the product. Ensure product compliance to global design standards like IEC, NEMA or any other compliance standard.
- Contribution to system / component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet Power panels, switchboard requirements.
- Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement through Change Management process
- Essential Function -
Demonstrated capability in design of LV equipment like Panelboard, Switchboard, PCC, MCC, Distribution Boxes, etc.
Coordinate with Global stakeholders and support to drive project execution through Design, testing and implementation phases
3D modelling, detailing and drafting experience on 3D CAD tool. (Preferred Autodesk Inventor)
Develops test plans for short circuit, temperature rise, arc test in accordance with IEC/UL standards. Creates test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation. Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Assesses test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective/preventive actions
Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement through Change Management process.
Support Creation of new designs and advanced methodologies to support the Technical Roadmap of the organization
Knowledge of predictive tools for analysis on components through simulations or calculations
Review reliability predictions, and Design Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA) and structural/thermal/CFD results. Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations
Perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique customer applications
May provide formal and informal updates to Engineering Manager and Program Manager. Participates in the preparation for design review material and is the lead presenter or supports more experience Engineer / Project Engineer / Project Lead during design reviews
