Job Description

Eaton’s ESSG Division is currently seeking a Returns Agent to join our team. This position is located in our Perth, Ontario facility. 

The Returns Agent is responsible to receive and review requests from customers to return products to Eaton, issues Return Authorizations through a detailed customer returns process. 

• You will identify, investigate, record and respond with customers to provide return service that meets the   customer expectation while adhering to Eaton Returns policies 
• You will receive and review customer requests to return products to Perth (excess stock, warranty, order errors, products for modification etc.) 
• You will issue Return Authorizations (electronically) to customer where appropriate or provides an explanation where RA’s are not approved 
• You will utilize the RMA system and the Returns & Adjustment Policy to evaluate returns 
• You will inspect returned product and accompanying documentation to determine the status of the return and perform incoming inspections 
• You will coordinate with PIC, the handling of material that is returned for defective analysis, performs testing and issues report on findings and assess the condition of returned material to determine acceptability 
• You will apply policies related to restocking charges, rejections etc. 
• You may re-package or re-label products to return to acceptable condition 
• You will communicate with Customers, Customer Service Centre (CSC), Financial Services and at times may also deal with Product Managers or Engineering when addressing non-standard returns 
• You will forward accepted material to the warehouse together with Receiving paperwork for return to stock and also update and maintain files and database records within the department 



Required (Basic) Qualifications: 
• High School Diploma required 
• Must live within 100km of the Perth CA facility 
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Community College Technician Diploma or equivalent 
• 2 to 3 years of experience and additional training in electrical theory 
• Experience with our line of electrical products, familiarity with our part numbering and various facility operating systems is preferable 
• Strong mechanical aptitude, good organization, communication & interpersonal skills are required 
• Advanced computer skills together with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is very desirable 
• Good documentation and data processing skills are required 
• Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision and also function well as part of a team and be self-motivated and customer oriented
