Job Description

Eaton Corporation has an opening for a  Machinery OEM (MOEM) Sales Director – West Region. Preferred locations are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Phoenix and Denver.

The position requires coaching, directing and training sales professionals (both directly and indirectly) in their MOEM assignments to succeed at managing and developing the customer base, utilizing sales resources, driving products and the channels to market to achieve market share gains and sales targets throughout the region.
Essential Functions include:
  • Leading MOEM /component based initiatives across the zone which includes multiple events, divisions and channels
  • Understanding various market segment needs to assist MOEM sales personnel in developing value propositions.
  • Identified key accounts, and understanding major competitors’ tactics, organization, distribution strategy, and pricing while keeping management informed of trends and changes.
  • Working as a part of the OEM leadership team to drive best practices, processes and systems which improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Helping to recruit, hire, train, develop, assign and continuously improve organizational capabilities in the zones MOEM sales personnel to capitalize on the customer base.
  • Facilitating and analyzing training/development needs of OEM zone personnel and helping implement plans annually to assure continuous growth.
  • Helping to build organizational capability
  • Ensuring that strategic and District Operation Plans (DOPs), major product launches, and key programs are properly planned and executed and managed in support of our MOEM growth Initiative

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical industry sales or marketing experience
  • Minimum 2 years people management experience
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or MBA
  • Product line or marketing experience within a division operational assignment (product management, satellite or service center, DOC, etc.)
  • Industrial controls expertise
